Bonjour,
Sur mon PC de salon, je me retrouve avec écran noir après GRUB.
suite à mise à jour et redémarrage (le pc n'avait pas été redémarré depuis longtemps), je n'ai pas lightdm.
Je peux accéder à TTY2, startx ne fonctionne pas.
Depuis le PC de bureau, je peux me connecter via REMMINA et XRDP au pc de salon et j'ai mon bureau xfce, comme d'habitude.
Le noyau qui pose problème est le 5.10.83 mais la même chose se produit avec le 5.4

Quelqu'un aurait une idée ?

Je crois me souvenir que ce n'est pas

startx
mais

startxfce4
pour démarrer une session graphique sous xfce.

Merci pour ta réponse,

Au démarrage après l'écran noir, je viens de voir le message : failed to load light display manager.
Une fois passé en TTY2, et faisant startxfce4, xorg ne se lance pas : unable to connect to xserver : conection refused.

en me connectant à distance en xrdp via remmina, (et même sous une session windows) aucun soucis, tout est là comme d'habitude. Le problème est juste en local.

j'ai suivi la première étape :
=> code=exited, status=1/FAILURE

lightdm.service : failed with result 'exit -code'

le test se finit par :
exiting with return value 1

Je croyais qu'il n'y avait pas d'erreur, car pas de ligne rouge, or à regarder en détail je m'aperçois que :

Le post recommande de réinstaller X-org, mais ne suis pas très chaud, vu que cela fonctionne en remote.

a mon avis tu as un dump Xorg sur style fonction _clone

Bon pas si simple à comprendre ou à débugger.

Je crois comprendre que cela a avoir avec le processeur intel.
J'ai trouvé dans un post, mais suis pas certain que son problème était vraiment le même, qu'il avait résolu le soucis en mettant dans grub acpi=debug, d'autres ajoutent MDS=full,nosmt à grub .
Faut-il le faire à chaque ligne d'image ?

donc si cela vient du proc, pas besoin de réinstaller xorg ? (cela expliquerait pourquoi cela fonctionne en x-rdp ?)

J'ai remplacé par le tiens. Cela n'a pas fonctionné, je perds même la connection à distance via remmina.

Je vais chercher du côté du grub pour le core dump de x-org

J'ai eu aussi un écran noir sur mon Arch au lancement de startxfce4. Résolu en renommant /etc/X11/xorg.d/ en .old histoire de le conserver et reboot.
Ça a fonctionné, mais j'ai du reconfigurer le clavier. Par contre, je ne comprend pas pourquoi cette manipe à pu débloquer startx.
Edit: Il fallait lire /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/

Donc renommé en xorg.conf.old, redémarré et là je retrouve mon lightdm, avec le clavier en anglais.....

et mon dossier /etc/X11/ n'a plus de xorg.conf.d ou xorg.d

Désolé pour la coquille , mais content que tu aies pu rebondir.
Pour le clavier, j'ai recopié /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/00-keyboard.conf.old dans le nouveau /etc/X11/xorg.d.conf/ et reboot.
Je ne m'explique toujours pas en quoi xorg peut repartir après ça, si ce n'est la supposition d'un lien mal formulé lors de la compilation. :saispas:

Merci pour ton retour et ton aide.
Comme je n'ai plus de dossier /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ et que le problème de clavier n'était que sur lightdm, je suis allé modifier son fichier de config pour y mettre ce qui fallait.
Et tant qu'à y être j'y ai mis également numlockx, que je n'avais pas prs le temps de mettre aant.
Mais effectivement je ne m'explique pas pourquoi ce coredump sur xorg et pourquoi il repart sans fichier conf....
